Let's Celebrate Sale-A-Bration with the Glitter Queens March Blog Hop

It's the start of a new month and that means it's time for another Glitter Queens Blog Hop 😍

Today we are highlighting Sale-a-bration and with all the birthdays and celebrations I have coming up in the next few weeks I really needed some quick and easy cards.

Of course quick and easy doesn't mean I'm willing to give up on the fun or cuteness factor!!!

When your looking to create a quick and easy FUN card there really is no need to go any further than one of my current FAVORITE stamp sets the party pandas!!  😍

AND..... If you haven't had a chance to get your Party Pandas ((  Which are a FREE Sale-a-bration item )) you really should get these cuties before it's too late!

Next, just for FUN because St. Patrick's day is just around the corner I also used the Sale-a-bration celebrate you thinlets to create this simple yet fun card

By the way, isn't this Leprechaun so stinkin' cute!?
I made him using the santa image from the cookie cutter stamp set. I just love how changing up the colors in his outfit and giving him a little hat totally transforms him! 😍😎

Thanks for joining in the fun and hopping along with us today!! Be sure to check out the rest of the glitter queens here:

February Glitter Queens Blog Hop is a Sweet Treat

Welcome to the February Glitter Queens Blog Hop!!

This month we are highlighting all kinds of Sweet Treat Holders to inspire you 💝

Today I have whipped up some quick and easy treat holders using one of my favorites, an oldie but goodie the 2,4,6,8 box.

This is one of my favorite boxes to make because they are so super easy to assemble. Plus they are created with simple supplies and can be customized any way you like.  And let's face it as a busy Mom of 5 some days I just need a project that I can whip up quick and easy! 😉😍

To create a basic 2,4,6,8 box start with a sheet of cardstock or Designer Series Paper such as the Painted with Love Paper used above that measures 8 1/2 x 4 1/2

😍 Can we just take a moment to admire this awesome paper!? #swoon ðŸ’ž I just love the painted with love designer series paper with it's beautiful gold foil accents 💞

Ok, back to the details on creating our box 😉

Step 1 - score along the 8 1/2" side at 2,4,6,8

Step 2 - rotate and score the 4 1/2 side at 2"

Step 3 -  cut the score marks from the edge up to the 2" score line as shown in the photo above (this will become the bottom of your box) You should have 4 - 2” slits after cutting.

Step 4 - Remove the small rectangle that is formed by the 8" score line on the right hand side

Step 5 - Use your bone folder to crease all your folds

Step 6 - Use fast Fuse or Tear Tape to adhere the 1/2 tab and then close up the bottom to assemble your box

See what I mean... Quick and Easy!!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Be sure to keep hopping along because up next we have the Talented Tracy Bradley and your going to love what she has whipped up for you today!

💝Have a sweet day!
Until next time, Happy Creating!

January Brings All Things New - Glitter Queens January Blog Hop

It's that time again... Time for our monthly blog hop with the Glitter Queens 😍

We're kicking off the New Year featuring all things NEW from the 2018 Sale-A-Bration and/or Occasions Catalogs. I don't know about you, but I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE sooooooo many things from these new catalogs! I honestly had a REALLY hard time figuring out what I was going to feature this month...

Since I couldn't make up my mind, I finally settled on sharing 3 cards with you. 😍
But don't worry! They are all created using basically the same materials 😉 Let's take a look!!

For my first card I started with some shimmery white card stock and simply doused it with water before sprinkling on some of the amazing Brusho Crystal Colours using the green, blue & yellow...  (( the trick here is to saturate the paper before adding the crystals so that they start spreading right away.))  I also sprayed more water in some areas after I had sprinkled the crystals to get the desired effect of mixed colors before setting it aside to let it all dry.
Once the card stock was dry, I used my aqua painter to add quite a few droplets of water. The water droplets spread and give a pretty cool  droplet effect adding more texture and movement to this deep sea background.

Here's a closer look at the finished mermaid shaker card
😍 I've Gotta Say, I'm TOTALLY loving Brusho!!! ðŸ˜

For my next card I followed the same steps as the first, but used mainly Green with just a bit of blue to brighten up the color ** It is so fun to add colors to get just the right look your going for ((makes me feel like an artist...if only for a moment! 😉)) Next, I stamped the dragon using Memento Black then cut him and the flame out with the coordinating dies and my trusty big shot.
I just LOVE how the sparkles from the Shimmery white card stock shine through the colors on each of the cards to add that extra special touch!!!😍

This last card is my FAVORITE!!!  I totally love  the vibrancy and depth of color. I followed the same steps as above except this time I taped off the edges using some washi tape from my stash so that I could get a clean water color type boarder. It also helps a little with the paper bending since we are using so much water here.
I used mostly the blue crystals for this card but I also added a little red to give a slight purple tint. ** Again my tip here is LOTS & LOTS of water... You really have to have a good amount of water so that the color spreads and blends.  Next, I added the adorable unicorn that has been kissed with just a touch of pink 💝 and then finished it off with a pretty bow and my favorite sparkly sequins 💖 So pretty and FUN!!

Thanks for stoping by today! I hope I have inspired you to try out the new Brusho Crystal Colours for yourself.. 💞 By the way, You should totally try them!  You won't be sorry you did!!! 😉😍😃
