It's all about Birthday's

Welcome to our Monthly Glitter Queens Blog Hop! I can hardly believe that it's April already -
I'll tell ya, it's true what they say....... the older you get the faster time seems to fly by!!!!!

Speaking of getting older, this month's theme is All About Birthdays and honestly it comes at a perfect time because this month is literally all about birthdays at our house. We have a BIG family (And I'm not just talking about my immediate family, lol! 😉) We have a HUGE extended family and with so many of us having April birthdays, we will literally get to celebrate all month.
WOO HOO!!  🎉 #BIRTHDAYMONTH #LETSCELEBRATE

Next week I get to celebrate my birthday along with my mini me Carlena and we plan to have a ton of fun celebrating. She loves sharing a birthday week and always tries to extend the celebration as long as possible.  Carlena actually snapped this fun picture of us last weekend so we could update our screen savers to kick of the birthday celebrations.  I absolutely LOVE that my daughter loves sharing a birthday with me and wants to not only savor each minute of the month but capture the moments for us too.
I thought it would be fun to turn her fun snapchat pic into a scrapbook page. Later I will add some journaling but for now I love the idea of adding this page in progress to a frame so we can keep it up as decoration for our #BIRTHDAYMONTH 💝 after all it's fun home decor items like this that make a home a home, right!? 😉

This page came together super quick and easy which is just what is working for me lately with my super busy schedule....

I did want to point out that I triple layered the Happy Birthday thinlet using Whisper White, Peekaboo Peach and Berry Burst before popping them up using mini stampin' dimensionals - I adore that it creates a cool faux inlay look placed on the Whisper White circle and yet still allows the photo to remain as the focal image.

Up next on our Hop is Tracy Bradley - She always shares such great ideas and I can't wait to see what she and the other Glitter Queens have created for us this month!!

Let's Celebrate Sale-A-Bration with the Glitter Queens March Blog Hop

It's the start of a new month and that means it's time for another Glitter Queens Blog Hop 😍

Today we are highlighting Sale-a-bration and with all the birthdays and celebrations I have coming up in the next few weeks I really needed some quick and easy cards.

Of course quick and easy doesn't mean I'm willing to give up on the fun or cuteness factor!!!

When your looking to create a quick and easy FUN card there really is no need to go any further than one of my current FAVORITE stamp sets the party pandas!!  😍

AND..... If you haven't had a chance to get your Party Pandas ((  Which are a FREE Sale-a-bration item )) you really should get these cuties before it's too late!

Next, just for FUN because St. Patrick's day is just around the corner I also used the Sale-a-bration celebrate you thinlets to create this simple yet fun card

By the way, isn't this Leprechaun so stinkin' cute!?
I made him using the santa image from the cookie cutter stamp set. I just love how changing up the colors in his outfit and giving him a little hat totally transforms him! 😍😎

Thanks for joining in the fun and hopping along with us today!! Be sure to check out the rest of the glitter queens here:

February Glitter Queens Blog Hop is a Sweet Treat

Welcome to the February Glitter Queens Blog Hop!!

This month we are highlighting all kinds of Sweet Treat Holders to inspire you 💝

Today I have whipped up some quick and easy treat holders using one of my favorites, an oldie but goodie the 2,4,6,8 box.

This is one of my favorite boxes to make because they are so super easy to assemble. Plus they are created with simple supplies and can be customized any way you like.  And let's face it as a busy Mom of 5 some days I just need a project that I can whip up quick and easy! 😉😍

To create a basic 2,4,6,8 box start with a sheet of cardstock or Designer Series Paper such as the Painted with Love Paper used above that measures 8 1/2 x 4 1/2

😍 Can we just take a moment to admire this awesome paper!? #swoon ðŸ’ž I just love the painted with love designer series paper with it's beautiful gold foil accents 💞

Ok, back to the details on creating our box 😉

Step 1 - score along the 8 1/2" side at 2,4,6,8

Step 2 - rotate and score the 4 1/2 side at 2"

Step 3 -  cut the score marks from the edge up to the 2" score line as shown in the photo above (this will become the bottom of your box) You should have 4 - 2” slits after cutting.

Step 4 - Remove the small rectangle that is formed by the 8" score line on the right hand side

Step 5 - Use your bone folder to crease all your folds

Step 6 - Use fast Fuse or Tear Tape to adhere the 1/2 tab and then close up the bottom to assemble your box

See what I mean... Quick and Easy!!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Be sure to keep hopping along because up next we have the Talented Tracy Bradley and your going to love what she has whipped up for you today!

💝Have a sweet day!
Until next time, Happy Creating!
