Teacher Gift Inspiration Because Teachers Are Amazing

Hello Creative Friends, I am so glad you are here!
Today I am playing along with this months International Stamping' Up! Blog Highlights hosted by Kylie Bertucci and  you can VOTE for my project here.

This month the theme is Teachers Gifts and with Back to School Season upon us the timing couldn't be more perfect!  Our Teachers really work hard for our kids and it is such a wonderful thing to take the time to thank them for all that they do.  If you're looking for ideas, you have come to the right place as there is tons of inspiration from those of us playing along this month. Be sure to check out everyones beautiful work and prepare to be inspired then take a moment to place your VOTE for your favorites 😉

For my project today, I have transformed an ordinary brown paper bag into a FABULOUS little Back Pack using the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper and coordinating Soft Sky Card Stock.
Can I just say that I adore this color combo of Kraft and soft sky! 💕 Don't you?

This adorably fun paper back pack is perfect for packing up with goodies to show your Childs teacher some love and appreciation this year.

The added touch of the Soft Sky strips to the back of the bag really pulls everything together and helps make it look like a mini back pack.

To complete the look  I stamped the you are amazing sentiment from the All Things Thanks Stamp set and added some shine by tracing over it with my fine tip glue pen.

Scrapbooking Global August Blog Hop

Welcome creative friends!

Today I am participating in the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop where a group of 23 of us have gotten together to share Scrapbooking Inspiration using Stamping' UP! Products from the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog.  I must say that I am beyond excited as this is my first time ever participating in a global blog hop and I find it supper exciting to say the least!

For my project today I have made an adorably fun pocket sized
Waterfall Mini Album to share with you

This cute little mini album comes together so quickly and the base is made of just 1 sheet of 12x12 card stock.... WooHoo!

I've used the Naturally Eclectic Suite to Decorate my Mini Album and I just love the versatility of this bright and fun collection.  I seem to find myself reaching for the paper, stamps and thinlets over and over again lately.

What makes this mini album so super fun is that it not only folds open like a standard album but, there are also 2 panels that waterfall down to reveal more fabulously fun mini pages. 👏😍

I love that the waterfall effect is not only a fun surprise but as an added bonus, it allows you even more space to add your precious photos & journaling 😉

Here's a another look at the album once it is completely opened up.....

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my project today!

FUN Watercolored Card with a Retro 80's Vibe

Welcome my creative friends, I'm so glad you're here!

Todays FUN 80's Vibe Card came together completely by accident...
But I must say, I LOVE the way it turned out!  Maybe because I'm a kid from the 80's and this retro look just makes me want to listen to some mix tapes and break out dancing!😍 Or maybe it's because I love a happy accident, either way I hope you enjoy what I have created for you today.

Today for your creative inspiration I want to share with you a bit of the story of how this fun and vibrant card came together.

As I was working on putting together a card, I started with embossing a piece of whisper white card stock.  I love the brick embossing folder but when I pulled out my paper, I realized that I had grabbed a piece that already had a partially stamped image.  Although this was a mistake, I immediately was inspired.  I envisioned my lady striking her cool pose in front of a graffiti painted brick wall and was literally giddy with excitement.
Unfortunately, I quickly realized that there was a little problem with my idea.... You see,  I didn't have the slightest clue as to where to start in creating any type of graffiti art (😬lol!) I quickly went over to google for inspiration and even  attempted to recruit my teenage daughter ((  Not sure why but she wasn't feeling my artistic vision 😏 ))  I was really struggling with how to put the card together. I guess I got a little stuck in my head because I wanted....
no, I NEEDED GRAFFITI.

Eventually I  did decided to put the card aside for a bit. Because sometimes you just have to get out of your own head to let your inner artist out. 😉 (( and I'm so glad I did. )) After a few days, I returned to my blank white brick wall with just a girl striking a pose and decided maybe if I added some color I would be able to figure it out...... Well as you can see adding a little color did the trick and I think it all came together quite nicely. Don't you? 💖

I absolutely love that we can make beautiful things even out of our mistakes and I just wanted to share with you how this card came together as I hope you will be inspired to keep pushing yourself creatively and see what FUN creations you will make. 😀

Thanks again for stopping by, I hope to see you here again soon!

Creative Blessings,
Michelle
