First Fridays Blog Hop

Hello creative friends!

I can hardly believe how fast summer has gone by and that it is already the first Friday of September.  That means it's time for another round of First Fridays Blog Hop with the Glitter Queens Team 😍 This month we are all creating something fall inspired.  I know I always say it but, I really can't wait to see what everyone has created!

You may know that today is not only the first Friday in September but it is actually the first of September. But you probably don't know that in our house, today is a pretty special day. You see today is my AMAZING Hubby's birthday and so it's kinda like a holiday for us as we celebrate the wonderful Husband, Father and all around GREAT man we are blessed to have in our lives.

To celebrate his birthday we typically end the summer with some family time up in the North Woods and I used this as some extra special inspiration for my card today.  πŸ˜

I chose to work with a fall color scheme to tie together the fall theme for our hop today of Old Olive, a touch of Copper, Very Vanilla and Early Espresso. Sometimes making a masculine card can be so challenging for me but using these fall colors and incorporating one of my favorite photos of my hubby and I really helped pull this card together in no time at all. Plus, the foil frenzy specialty designer series paper definitely  helps make a beautiful card with very little effort 😏

The trees needed a little something more and although snow is not really a fall thing,
it probably is snowing somewhere right!? πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

I love the effect of adding a touch of  embossing paste. I literally just spread a tiny bit and then just because I LOVE LOVE GLITTER,  I sprinkled a bit of dazzling diamonds to create a glittery snowy texture πŸ˜™ Next I layered the trees with  very vanilla card stock and slightly offset before adding some mini stampin' dimensionals to give a nice depth effect.  To complete the look I added 2 cute little deers stamped in early espresso onto the back of some foil frenzy paper and added more mini stampin' dimensionals to the back of one for more dimension.

To finish off the card I used my fine tip glue pen to add a few copper sequins and a single wooden heart from the sending love embelishments. ** Just a little heads up, although discontinued you can currently pick up the sending love embelishments pack while supplies last from the clearance rack  for a great deal!πŸ˜‡

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to continue along the hop because up next is talented Davette. And if you loose your place along the way, below is a list of everyone hopping along with us today.
