First Fridays Blog Hop

Hello creative friends!

I can hardly believe how fast summer has gone by and that it is already the first Friday of September.  That means it's time for another round of First Fridays Blog Hop with the Glitter Queens Team 😍 This month we are all creating something fall inspired.  I know I always say it but, I really can't wait to see what everyone has created!

You may know that today is not only the first Friday in September but it is actually the first of September. But you probably don't know that in our house, today is a pretty special day. You see today is my AMAZING Hubby's birthday and so it's kinda like a holiday for us as we celebrate the wonderful Husband, Father and all around GREAT man we are blessed to have in our lives.

To celebrate his birthday we typically end the summer with some family time up in the North Woods and I used this as some extra special inspiration for my card today.  ðŸ˜

I chose to work with a fall color scheme to tie together the fall theme for our hop today of Old Olive, a touch of Copper, Very Vanilla and Early Espresso. Sometimes making a masculine card can be so challenging for me but using these fall colors and incorporating one of my favorite photos of my hubby and I really helped pull this card together in no time at all. Plus, the foil frenzy specialty designer series paper definitely  helps make a beautiful card with very little effort 😏

The trees needed a little something more and although snow is not really a fall thing,
it probably is snowing somewhere right!? 😏😂

I love the effect of adding a touch of  embossing paste. I literally just spread a tiny bit and then just because I LOVE LOVE GLITTER,  I sprinkled a bit of dazzling diamonds to create a glittery snowy texture 😙 Next I layered the trees with  very vanilla card stock and slightly offset before adding some mini stampin' dimensionals to give a nice depth effect.  To complete the look I added 2 cute little deers stamped in early espresso onto the back of some foil frenzy paper and added more mini stampin' dimensionals to the back of one for more dimension.

To finish off the card I used my fine tip glue pen to add a few copper sequins and a single wooden heart from the sending love embelishments. ** Just a little heads up, although discontinued you can currently pick up the sending love embelishments pack while supplies last from the clearance rack  for a great deal!😇

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to continue along the hop because up next is talented Davette. And if you loose your place along the way, below is a list of everyone hopping along with us today.

As you may know, I love Stampin' UP! But what you may not know is that I have been collecting stamps, pretty paper, glitter and more since 2003 and I was way overdue for a purge. But as hard as it is to part with all these goodies, It makes me happy to think that they will be going to a good home. I also love the idea that they will get some use rather than sit around collecting dust on my shelf because I'm too busy playing with my new favorite things.

🙋 Confession Time: You see, the truth is that I NEED more room to accommodate my SUPER LOOOOOOOOOONG wish list after seeing the New Stampin' UP! Holiday Catalog 😍 😳** Seriously, I'm not even kidding **

Teacher Gift Inspiration Because Teachers Are Amazing

Hello Creative Friends, I am so glad you are here!
Today I am playing along with this months International Stamping' Up! Blog Highlights hosted by Kylie Bertucci and  you can VOTE for my project here.

This month the theme is Teachers Gifts and with Back to School Season upon us the timing couldn't be more perfect!  Our Teachers really work hard for our kids and it is such a wonderful thing to take the time to thank them for all that they do.  If you're looking for ideas, you have come to the right place as there is tons of inspiration from those of us playing along this month. Be sure to check out everyones beautiful work and prepare to be inspired then take a moment to place your VOTE for your favorites 😉

For my project today, I have transformed an ordinary brown paper bag into a FABULOUS little Back Pack using the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper and coordinating Soft Sky Card Stock.
Can I just say that I adore this color combo of Kraft and soft sky! 💕 Don't you?

This adorably fun paper back pack is perfect for packing up with goodies to show your Childs teacher some love and appreciation this year.

The added touch of the Soft Sky strips to the back of the bag really pulls everything together and helps make it look like a mini back pack.

To complete the look  I stamped the you are amazing sentiment from the All Things Thanks Stamp set and added some shine by tracing over it with my fine tip glue pen. If you would take the time to hop on over and cast your vote for your TOP 5 Favorite creations I would be ever so grateful! 😍 The top ten winners will partake in an international blog hop in the near future. To cast your vote, please click on the heart located in the upper top right hand side of the photo.

My submission happens to be #21** You can VOTE starting Tue 8/15 @ 7pm Central Time US and voting lasts for 5 days

Thanks again for stopping by the blog today, I hope to see you back again soon!

Scrapbooking Global August Blog Hop

Welcome creative friends!

Today I am participating in the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop where a group of 23 of us have gotten together to share Scrapbooking Inspiration using Stamping' UP! Products from the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog.  I must say that I am beyond excited as this is my first time ever participating in a global blog hop and I find it supper exciting to say the least!

For my project today I have made an adorably fun pocket sized
Waterfall Mini Album to share with you

This cute little mini album comes together so quickly and the base is made of just 1 sheet of 12x12 card stock.... WooHoo!

I've used the Naturally Eclectic Suite to Decorate my Mini Album and I just love the versatility of this bright and fun collection.  I seem to find myself reaching for the paper, stamps and thinlets over and over again lately.

What makes this mini album so super fun is that it not only folds open like a standard album but, there are also 2 panels that waterfall down to reveal more fabulously fun mini pages. 👏😍

I love that the waterfall effect is not only a fun surprise but as an added bonus, it allows you even more space to add your precious photos & journaling 😉

Here's a another look at the album once it is completely opened up.....

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my project today!

Now, honestly I am so excited to see what everyone else has created and I am going to hop on over to check out their creative inspirations. Please be sure to hop along with us and feel free to show some love by leaving a comment while you are there.  ðŸ˜‰
